‘Killing Eve’ Will Be Available on Hulu December 1

All hail the streaming gods! Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s breakout thriller Killing Eve will be available to stream on Hulu December 1. If you didn’t get a chance to watch the BBC America drama when it first premiered in April, you absolutely must check it out now — there’s a reason it came in at Number 3 on our Best TV Shows of 2018 list.

Decider first broke the news that Killing Eve would stream exclusively on Hulu back in June, but at the time, BBC America president Sarah Barnett didn’t provide an exact date. “Killing Eve will go to Hulu sometime around the end of this year,” Barnett said in June. By the time Season 2 rolls around in 2019, it “will have been on Hulu for a period of time finding a new audience,” she said, and ideally, those viewers will tune in live as new episodes air on BBC America.

For those of you still catching up, Killing Eve follows a British intelligence officer, Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh), as she hunts a potentially-sociopathic assassin (Jodie Comer) named Villanelle. As their cat-and-mouse game develops, Eve and Villanelle slowly become obsessed with one another, often to the detriment of their personal and professional lives. The show’s perspective switches between the two women as they carry out their respective missions, but it’s not long before they meet in an explosive exchange.

Oh’s work earned her an Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and although she didn’t end up winning (she lost to The Crown‘s Claire Foy), our Joe Reid believes she should have won for her phenomenal performance — and as retribution for her Grey’s Anatomy days. There’s also an argument to be made for Killing Eve‘s Best Drama snub, but that’s a discussion for another time. Maybe the series will have better luck at the Golden Globes?

As we said in our Best TV Shows of 2018 list, “Season 2 cannot come soon enough.” If you need me before then, I’ll be on Hulu streaming Killing Eve Season 1 on repeat.
