Captain Sandy prides herself on being fair to all the crew members, but when Bravo caught up with her behind the scenes of the Below Deck Mediterranean reunion, she had no problem dishing on her MVPs on the season. And remember, aboard this boat, Captain Sandy sees it all.
It was no secret that Sandy more than appreciated João’s hustle, and he made sure to be in work mode anytime she was around. Plus, while Kasey’s season started off rocky, with a “polished” CV and bout of seasickness, Captain Sandy was ultimately impressed with her work ethic and willingness to learn.
“At the end of the day, she just wants you to succeed,” Kasey told us earlier this month. “In her mind, we are a team, and if one of us is down, we are all down. When you are on her good side, she is there for you to look out for you and to help you prosper.”
Jamie also echoed those sentiments, stating of their leader, “She is very, very supportive.”
And as far as the “Needs Improvement” yachties go? Well, it will be no surprise to find out Hannah and Conrad are both on that list, the two crew members Sandy had the most disagreements with, including one particularly explosive blow up over a Coke on the beach.
Even once Captain Sandy gave Conrad an apology after the incident, he told us, “It was a sigh of relief. But then at the same time, I truly got it into my head that she was out for me because of Hannah.”
With only two more episodes of Below Deck Med to go this season, that’s still plenty of time for the yachties to make one final lasting impression with their leader.
