NBC’s vaunted Must-See TV lineup was home to some of the most popular sitcoms of all time. Thursday nights in the ’90s delivered television favorites like Seinfeld, Friends, and Fraiser, which are all readily available to stream across various platforms. But what about the First Couple of Must-See TV, Paul and Jamie Buchman? From 1992 to 1999, Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt charmed audiences in the beloved but somewhat over-looked sitcom Mad About You, but due to some unknown deviant sorcery beyond our comprehension, the classic sitcom was never easily available to stream in its entirety. Until now.
Mad About You is now available to stream on STARZ. What a freaking day to be alive.
In August of 2016, Decider’s Lea Palmieri coined the term “Reiser-ssance” to describe Paul Reiser’s recent comeback. Since then, the Reiser-ssance has flourished. Red Oaks, There’s … Johnny!, Stranger Things 2, we are living in the golden era of Paul Reiser. Don’t ask any questions; just bask in the warm, cozy glow of the Reiser-ssance. As of December 1, STARZ has made over 150 episodes of Mad About You available for fans to devour. Later this month, December 22 to be exact, 11 more episodes from Seasons 4 through 7 will also be joining the platform.
The holiday season has always taken place in December, but this the first time I truly feel a palpable spirit of giving and goodwill towards all in the air.
If you think I’m the only one who’s jazzed that Mad About You is finally available to stream, you are dead wrong. A trove of Hollywood stars have been eagerly awaiting this day since the moment Paul and Jamie took each other’s hands and jumped into the final frontier. For example…

Last month, Decider published an article in which 25 comedy writers wrote about the TV episode that inspired them to pursue a career in comedy. Morales selected Mad About You’s famous bottle episode, “The Conversation.” Filmed as one long 20-minute shot, the episode deals with new parents Paul and Jamie trying to get their daughter to fall asleep on her own.
“That episode wowed me,” Morales wrote. “It made me think about all of the different ways I could do things that were already established as, ‘Well, this is just how it’s done.’ As a director, writer, and performer, it made me realize that I could find constant inspiration and fulfillment in what I do for a living if I always ask, ‘Yeah, but what’s the other way to do this?’”
