After All This Time? All 8 Harry Potter Movies Are Coming To HBO on New Year’s Day

After all this time? You bet. Ever find yourself on the couch, wondering why you couldn’t find any Harry Potter movies on your favorite streaming platforms? Well, that time is finally coming to an end. Our friends at HBO have announced that all eight movies will be coming to HBO Go and HBO Now, which means your days of DVD hunting and movie rentals are over.

Starting January 1, 2018, the wizarding world will make its way over to HBO and join prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to create the magical marathon of your dreams. That’s right. You’ll have nine Harry Potter films available at your streaming leisure. Talk about ringing in the New Year right!

“This marks the first time that all nine films set in the fantastical wizarding world created by bestselling author J.K. Rowling will air on a single network, unedited and commercial-free,” reads HBO’s statement. “For viewers who prefer to stream their favorite movies, this will also be the first time the entire franchise is available on the same streaming service.”

There you have it, folks. Grab a butterbeer and a spot on the couch, because the Hogwarts Express will be ’round to pick you up soon. You’ll never have to do more than a simple streaming summoning charm to rejoin Harry, Ron, and Hermione for all their adventures.
