The Dern-aissance continues! Twenty-five years and six nominations later, Laura Dern finally has an Emmy. The celebrated actress, who has appeared in everything from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to Twin Peaks this year, picked up the win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for playing busybody Renata Klein in HBO’s Big Little Lies.

Dern thanked the “tribe of fierce women” that make up the cast of Big Little Lies, also thanking the mothers of Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon for “raising extraordinarily well-read women.” She added that she shares the award with her “tribe of four ladies. I feel very proud to be part of reflecting fierce women and mothers.”

Dern faced stiff competition in this category, which included previous two-time consecutive winner Regina King, who was nominated for a third time for American Crime. Also nominated was Dern’s Big Little Lies costar Shailene WoodleyMichelle Pfeiffer (The Wizard of Lies), and Feud’s Jackie Hoffman and Judy Davis.

Dern, who will continue to dominate pop culture with an appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi this December, was previously nominated in a ton of other categories. Lead Actress in a Comedy, Guest Actress in a Comedy, Guest Actress in a Drama–Dern can do it all, and now she has the Emmy to prove it.

The Decider team will be watching and reporting on the 2017 Emmy Awards as they air tonight with reactions to wins (and losses), live-blogs, and where you can stream the winners. Check back here for all our Emmys coverage.
