Big Little Lies took home the Emmy for Outstanding Limited Series tonight, beating out Fargo, FEUD: Bette and Joan, Genius, The Night Of,
thus making an almost clean sweep of all the Limited Series categories. Earlier in the evening, Big Little Lies claimed four other honors: Outstanding Lead Actress (Nicole Kidman), Outstanding Supporting Actress (Laura Dern), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Alexander Skarsgard), and Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Series (Jean-Marc Vallée).

“Can I just say bring women to the front of their own stories. Make them the heroes of their own stories!” Reese Witherspoon declared while accepting the award.

Co-star and co-producer Nicole Kidman explained that they came to the project because there weren’t enough great roles being offered to women. “So now? More great roles for women, please!” Kidman declared.

Kidman also joked that you can still watch the show — which is very true! You can stream all of Big Little Lies on HBO Go or HBO Now (or any HBO streaming subscription add-on).

As for the two awards the series lost? Black Mirror, “San Junipero” scribe Charlie Brooker beat Big Little Lies writer David E. Kelley in the Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie, or Dramatic Special and The Night Of‘s Riz Ahmed won for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie (where no actor from Big Little Lies was in contention).

The Decider team will be watching and reporting on the 2017 Emmy Awards as they air tonight with reactions to wins (and losses), live-blogs, and where you can stream the winners. Check back here for all our Emmys coverage.
