Clint Eastwood Is Not Part of the “P***y Generation,” So You Can Guess Who He’s Voting For

We’re past the primaries, past the conventions, already into August, so why has it taken Clint Eastwood this long to get involved in the 2016 Presidential election? We already know this guy loves politics, as most people probably think of him every time they see a sad, empty chair. You’ll remember back at the 2012 Republican National Convention, he gave quite a speech to a lonely chair, a stunt he is now calling “silly.”

In an interview in Esquire with Eastwood and his son, Scott Eastwood, the elder actor explained, “It’s a sad time in history,” and without 100% endorsing anyone, goes on to say, “What Trump is onto is he’s just saying what’s on his mind.”

Eastwood continues, “We’re really in a p***y generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist. Secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up.”

Of Trump, Eastwood says he “Can understand where he’s coming from, but I don’t always agree with it,” but certainly prefers him over Hillary Clinton because she would be a “Tough voice to listen to for four years. It could be a tough one.”

Eastwood really believes that, “Sully should be running for president”, referring to Captain Chelsey Sullenberger, the pilot who landed his plane in the Hudson River. Perhaps this is because Eastwood just directed the film about him, Sully, starring Tom Hanks.

Scott Eastwood can be seen in this weekend’s Suicide Squad, and then in Snowden, as Edward Snowden’s (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) NSA boss, and of his dad’s political opinions he offers, “My father’s definitely old-school.”
