The 2016 Republican National Convention is getting underway at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, today, which means it’s time to break out the bunting, collect your pins, and wave that flag. By the end of the week’s festivities, the GOP will have nominated Donald Trump as their candidate for President of the United States.

WHAT TIME DOES THE GOP CONVENTION START?

Today, the RNC begins at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. (The remaining three days all begin at different times.) Today’s afternoon will be dominated by a ‘Convention Business Session.’ The evening session will focus on the theme ‘Make America Safe Again’ and will feature a bevy of speakers (full list below).

WHERE CAN I WATCH THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION?

The Republican National Convention will air on multiple formats, including streaming. The entire proceedings will be available to stream on the official Republican National Convention YouTube channel, for free, of course. They’re promising ‘gavel to gavel’ coverage.


On Facebook, the GOP will be providing updates via Facebook Live.
On mobile, the GOP is also promising live streaming as well as ‘unprecedented access’ on the RNC Official 2016 App, available in the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. The GOP will even be showcasing exclusive content on Snapchat (follow gopconvention16).
Additionally, CBS will stream their coverage of the RNC on Twitter via a partnership between Twitter and their CBSN digital division. They’re promising full coverage.
Finally, you can stream prime time coverage on all networks such as Fox, CNN, and NBC via Sling TV.

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION?

Tonight’s proceedings begin at 7:50 p.m. Eastern.
