Happy Wednesday! You know what that means. It’s that time of the week where you can unabashedly declare which ladies you’ve been hardcore crushing on. At Decider, we like to make a weekly point of saying ‘YAAAS’ to a badass member of Team Woman, and today our queen is actress Sarah Gadon of Hulu’s time-traveling mini-series event, 11.22.63.

Starring alongside James Franco as English professor turned history manipulator, Jake Epstein, Gadon plays Sadie Dunhill in the small screen Stephen King adaptation. Sadie, who teaches with Jake, is roped into traveling back to 1960’s Dallas, Texas in order to stop the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. If you’ve watched any time-traveling adventure, however, then you know that history — even mankind’s ugliest events — do not like to be messed with. Needless to say, things begin to go haywire for Jake and Sadie and their botched mission begins to weave itself into the fabric of American history. Awaiting its fourth episode on Hulu streaming, 11.22.63 is an alt-history mystery packed with great performances and cliffhanger twists that keep you wanting more. But since you already know so much about James Franco, it’s time to get to know the series’ prolific actress, who you’ve surely seen before but may have overlooked.

WHO’S THAT GAL?: Sarah Gadon

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Gadon is a workhorse! Acting since her single-digit years, the Toronto-born performer has appeared in a bunch of Canadian television series, American blockbusters, and independent fare. Now, she’s dabbling in Hulu’s streaming-only drama and, well, we’re into it.

And so is James Franco…

WHERE YOU’VE SEEN HER BEFORE: If you’re from our neighbor to the north, you may recognize Gadon from crime dramas The Border and Murdoch Mysteries, and rom-com series Being Erica. She’s also appeared in big budget productions Dracula Untold and as Kari in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. If you’re in tune with the independent realm, you probably recognize Gadon from Jake Gyllenhaal dopplegänger flick Enemy and Gina Prince-Blythwood’s maverick period drama, Belle. She’s also worked with the one and only David Cronenberg in A Dangerous MethodCosmopolis, and Maps to the Stars as well as Brandon Cronenberg’s Antiviral.

Gadon with Gyllenhaal in Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy.

WHERE YOU’LL SEE HER NEXT: This year, Gadon is appearing in James Schamus’ Philip Roth adaptation, Indignation as well as horror director, Alexandre Aja’s The 9th Life of Louis Drax.
