Pluto.TV, a video streaming startup aimed at cord cutters, is starting to add some noteworthy content. The service has entered into a distribution agreement with Hulu, which will allow it to stream the company’s free television and movie content, reports Variety. Pluto, which “repackages online video into a TV-like programming grid,” can now count current-season shows from ABC, NBC, and Fox, along with classics like Seinfeld, Cheers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, among its growing library of content, all of which will be available through its new “on demand” section. The shows and films will be viewable through Pluto’s website (and Android app). As weird as the deal might initially sound, Tech Crunch points out that its very similar to ones that Hulu has struck with MSN, AOL, and Yahoo.
