More than a decade after it became the network crime procedural CBS is finally pulling the plug on CSI. The network has decided to cancel the series after 15 seasons, industry sources tell Vulture. The show, which currently stars Ted Danson, George Ends, and Jorja Fox, still earns solid ratings but because of its age and reputation costs too much to produce. It’s unclear how the show will say goodbye, but two sources told the website that there might be a TV movie next year to bring a close to any unresolved plotlines. Fans of CSI: Cyber have nothing to worry about, though, as the spin-off has been picked up for a second season.
